Toughest Player of the Week
Celebrating the grit and determination of exceptional high school athletes, the Toughest Player of the Week Contests showcases remarkable performances on the field. Breaux Bridge, Carencro, Cecilia, St. Martinville, and Teurlings Catholic High Schools each nominate one offensive & one defensive player each week. The offensive and defensive polls featuring that week's nominees begins each Tuesday at 9am and ends Thursday at 5pm CST. The offensive and defensive players to earn the most votes will be crowned our "Toughest Players of the Week," earning prizes for themselves and their coaches plus special television coverage on KADN News15.Legendary Player of the Week
The Legendary Player of the Week Contests celebrate the excellence of several Lafayette area schools. Acadiana, Comeaux, Lafayette, Northside, Southside, and St. Thomas More Catholic High Schools each nominate one offensive and one defensive player each week. The offensive and defensive polls featuring that week's nominees begin each Tuesday at 9am and end Thursday at 5pm CST. The offensive and defensive players to earn the most votes will be crowned our "Legendary Players of the Week," earning prizes for themselves and their coaches plus special television coverage on KADN News15.
Voting Period
Polls are open for voting from Tuesday at 9 am to Thursday at 5pm CST each week. Click the black VOTE buttons above to open the current polls & cast your vote to improve your favorite players' chances of winning "Player of the Week" honors!Player of the Year Banquets
At the end of the season, all offensive and defensive weekly winners are invited to a special Player of the Year Banquet, where they'll have the chance to win the coveted Player of the Year trophy including a $1,000 athletic scholarship for their hard work and dedication! The action-packed event also includes a catered dinner and special VIP guest appearances. Plus, a $1,000 academic scholarship is awarded by Chaz Roberts Law to an athlete who exhibited excellence not only in sports, but in their studies, as well.
